Dick Lubinsky was a member of Fountain House in the late 1960s. While cleaning out his packed-to-the-rafters apartment and storage spaces after his death in 2001, Dick's niece June Kosloff unearthed a trove of artworks, including many mixed media pieces and photographs.
A number of these works were on view in the posthumous solo exhibition The Lubinsky Experience: Judy, Jesus, Junk curated by June and presented at Fountain Gallery in the spring of 2006. Dick's life and art have been profiled on NY1 News. In 2010, Dick's art was exhibited at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and the Erie Art Museum in Erie, PA.
